Russian oil pumping through Ukrainian transit route resumes

Pumping of Russian oil through the southern branch of the Druzhba oil pipeline in transit through Ukraine has resumed, oil will arrive in Slovakia and Hungary on August 11.

A source in the directorate of the Hungarian concern MOL, which owns one of the largest European oil refineries Slovnaft, reported this on August 10, according to TASS.

"The pumping of oil through Druzhba has resumed," the directorate noted. "We expect it to arrive in Hungary and Slovakia on Thursday [August 11] morning."

Meanwhile, the website of the Slovak newspaper Pravda, with reference to Slovakia's Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Richard Sulik, informed that oil through the pipeline has already begun to flow to Slovakia.
