Russian shelling leaves dead, damaged homes in Donetsk region PHOTO
Russian forces shelled settlements in Ukraine’s Donetsk region 14 times over the past day, prompting the evacuation of 75 civilians, including 18 children, regional authorities said.
Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk regional military administration, said the attacks caused damage and casualties across several districts.
In the Kramatorsk district, an administrative building and three vehicles were damaged in the town of Mykolaivka. In nearby Sloviansk, six private houses and infrastructure facilities were hit.
In Starovarvarivka, part of the Oleksandrivka community, one person was killed and another wounded, while 17 houses and a power line were damaged. A warehouse was also damaged in Novostepanivka.
In the town of Druzhkivka, one person was killed and two others injured as a result of shelling, Filashkin said.
In the Bakhmut district, two residential buildings were damaged in the Sviato-Pokrovske area of the Siversk community.
