Russian strike left Ukraine's Slavutych without power overnight — governor
Slavutych, a city in Ukraine’s Kyiv region, was temporarily left without centralized electricity supply overnight following a Russian strike on the energy system, the region's governor has said.
Nearly 8,500 households were left without power, Caliber.Az reports, citing Head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration Mykola Kalashnyk.
Kalashnyk said energy crews are already working to restore electricity and are making every effort to return power to residents as quickly as possible. Critical infrastructure facilities have been switched to backup power sources.
Social facilities continue to operate using generators and batteries, while communication and internet services remain available. “Invincibility points” have been opened to provide assistance to residents in need.
The city remains operational, with police and emergency services working in an enhanced mode.
