Russian strikes on Kharkiv, Chernihiv regions kill livestock, damage community centre Photo
Russian forces struck the central part of the village of Velykyi Burluk in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region's Kupianskyi district, causing a fire at a local community centre, emergency services said.
According to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service, the building, previously damaged by shelling, caught fire following the attack, Caliber.Az informs
No casualties were reported.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze, which spread across an area of about 1,000 square metres. Thirteen rescuers were deployed to the scene, along with three State Emergency Service vehicles, a medical team and a community rescue officer, the agency said.
In a separate incident, a Russian drone crashed in the village of Zhernovka in the Novgorod-Seversky district of Chernihiv region, setting fire to the roof of a cowshed at a farm, the State Emergency Service said.
Five head of cattle were killed, and agricultural equipment was damaged. Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control.
