At least 31 people were injured, and one person was killed following a large-scale Russian attack on Kyiv, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
“As of 7:30, at least 31 people are known to have been injured, including one child. Unfortunately, there is information about one fatality,” the agency said in a statement.
Emergency responders rescued 27 people in the Darnytskyi district, where a multi-story residential building sustained significant structural damage. Search and rescue operations are continuing as crews work to locate individuals who may still be trapped under the rubble.
Firefighters are also extinguishing five vehicles that caught fire in the courtyard of a residential building at another location.
Authorities said response efforts are ongoing across multiple districts of the capital, including Obolonskyi, Darnytskyi and Holosiivskyi, as teams continue to deal with the aftermath of the attack.
