Russian strikes hit Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, cause injuries, fires — governors
A 63-year-old man and a 71-year-old woman were injured in the latest Russian shelling of the Polohy district in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region, Ivan Fedorov, Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, said in his Telegram channel.

The post says that airstrikes targeted Huliaipole and Ternuvate, with a total of three aerial attacks recorded.
Fedorov wrote that the main assault hit villages and settlements under heavy drone attacks. In total, 291 drones of various types, mainly FPV, were used. Additionally, five strikes were carried out with multiple rocket launchers (MRLs), and Russian artillery conducted 171 strikes.
He added that a total of 36 facilities, including residential buildings and infrastructure, were damaged following the shelling.
Meanwhile, Head of the Poltava Regional State Administration, Volodymyr Kohut, announced on Telegram that on the night of December 10 to 11, fires broke out in the Kremenchuk district of Ukraine’s Poltava region following another Russian attack on energy infrastructure facilities.
Kohut said Ukrainian air defence systems engaged the aerial targets and managed to shoot down many of the incoming aerial targets. However, fires broke out at energy facilities due to falling debris and direct hits.
Preliminary reports indicate that there were no casualties.
