Russian attacks on Ukraine’s Sumy region triggered significant fires, affecting both civilian and non-residential properties.
In the Shostka community, the strikes set fire to homes and outbuildings, causing damage to local residents’ property, State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) reported on Telegram.
In the Konotop community, a non-residential building sustained extensive destruction and was engulfed in flames following the attacks.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) reported that no casualties have been confirmed so far. Emergency teams worked promptly to contain the situation, and all fires have now been extinguished.
Authorities continue to assess the full extent of the damage caused by the strikes, while local emergency services remain on alert for any further incidents.
