Russian strikes in Ukraine's Donetsk cause damage, trigger evacuations PHOTO
Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out nine separate shelling attacks on settlements across Ukraine’s Donetsk region, local authorities confirmed.
Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, provided details of the damage and casualties.
In Pokrovsk district, the Zoloty Kolodiaz settlement of the Shakhove community sustained damage to four houses, while in Hruzke, two houses were completely destroyed.
In Kramatorsk district, one person was injured in Sloviansk, where 11 houses and a vehicle were damaged. In Zelenyi, part of the Oleksandrivska settlement, two residents were wounded; one house was destroyed, and 10 others sustained damage.
In Bakhmut district, the Sviato-Pokrovske settlement of the Siverska community saw one house damaged.
Amid the ongoing shelling, authorities evacuated 423 people from the front-line areas, including 55 children, ensuring their safety from the immediate conflict zone.
