Russian strikes kill one, injure six in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region
Russian forces carried out extensive strikes across the Zaporizhzhia region of Ukraine, leaving one person dead and six others injured in the Zaporizhzhia and Polohy districts, the regional authorities reported on January 15.
According to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Regional Military Administration, the region came under intense fire over the past 24 hours, with a total of 876 attacks recorded across 27 settlements.
Fedorov said the strikes included nine airstrikes, 498 drone attacks involving various types of unmanned systems, including FPV drones, six barrages from multiple-launch rocket systems, and 363 artillery strikes.
Local authorities received 43 reports of damage affecting residential homes, infrastructure facilities, and civilian vehicles as a result of the attacks.
