Russian strikes spark fires in Ukraine's Sumy, Kharkiv regions PHOTO
Fires broke out in Ukraine’s Sumy and Kharkiv regions following Russian strikes, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service (SES) said on Telegram.
In one post, the state service said that a two-storey non-residential building caught fire in the Sumy region. While extinguishing the blaze, rescue teams also inspected the strike zone and used special equipment to dismantle hazardous floor structures, Caliber.Az reports.
In a separate post on Kharkiv, the service said that a Russian UAV attack ignited two workshops belonging to an agricultural enterprise in the village of Podseredne, Kupiansk district. The fire spread across an area of about 1,500 square metres.
Fifteen rescuers and four units of SES equipment, including a medical team, were deployed to tackle the aftermath.
All fires have been extinguished, and no casualties were reported.
