Russian troops down 11 UAVs of Ukrainian Armed Forces
Russian air defence systems over the past day downed 11 drones of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
RIA Novosti quotes the Russian Defense Ministry as saying that the report came from the official representative of the ministry, Igor Konashenkov on May 22.
“Russian air defence systems shot down 11 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) during the day in the areas of the settlements of Kurakhovo, Guselskoye, Donetsk region, Popasnaya, Lugansk region, Chernobaevka, Kherson region, Russian Lozovaya, Kazachya Lopan, Nizshee, Malaya Kamyshevakha and Petrivske, Kharkiv region.
In addition, two Ukrainian missiles of the Smerch classification were intercepted in the areas of the settlements of Kamenka and Bukino in the Kharkiv region," Konashenkov said.
He also gave details about the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 174 aircraft, 125 helicopters, 977 unmanned aerial vehicles, 317 anti-aircraft missile systems, 3,198 tanks and other armoured combat vehicles, 408 installations of multiple launch rocket systems, 1,622 guns of field artillery and mortars, as well as 3,077 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed,” Konshenkov concluded.
