Russian troops take control of Ukraine's largest fortification in Krasnohorivka
Russian Armed Forces have taken control of the largest fortification of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Krasnohorivka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).
"The attackers, supported by artillery and the Russian Aerospace Forces, took control of the refractory plant, which was the enemy's key and largest fortification," the source said, TASS reports.
He added that the Russian military was working to mop up pockets of resistance.
On May 4, the Russian Defense Ministry said that units of the "Southern" group of troops had advanced deep into the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) during the week, eliminating more than two thousand Ukrainian military personnel.
On May 2, the ministry said that Russian troops had taken more favorable positions in the DPR and defeated the mercenaries of the Foreign Legion. According to the ministry, Ukrainian troops lost a tank, four vehicles, and up to 270 soldiers.
Earlier, the AFU commander said that the Russian Federation had an advantage in the use of FPV (First Person View) drones.
