Russians backing Ukraine unwelcome at home - Presidential Spokesperson
“We are not on the same wavelength” with relocatees, who have taken an “anti-Russian position,” Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has said.
For the rest, he said, “the homeland is always waiting”.
As Kommersant reports, during a press call, Peskov was asked to comment on the words of State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin that relocatees supporting Ukraine would be “secured a venue in Magadan” if they returned to Russia.
“The Duma Speaker spoke about those who took a pronounced anti-Russian position and took the side of the Kyiv regime. Yes, indeed, we are not on the same wavelength with these people,” the Kremlin spokesperson said.
He clarified that the vast majority of people “freely choose their current place of residence”.
“And, of course, these people always, no matter what, have their homeland. This homeland is Russia, and it is always waiting for them,” the presidential spokesperson assured.
