Saudi air defences intercept four drones near Riyadh
Air defence forces in Saudi Arabia intercepted and destroyed four unmanned aerial vehicles near the capital Riyadh, according to statements from the Saudi Ministry of Defence.
In an initial post on X, the ministry said air defence units had shot down three drones east of the city, Caliber.Az reports.

“Saudi Arabia's air defence forces destroyed three unmanned aerial vehicles east of Riyadh,” the Ministry of Defence said in its first statement.
Authorities later reported that a fourth drone had been intercepted northeast of the capital.
“Interception and destruction of a drone northeast of Riyadh,” the statement said.
No further details about damage or casualties were immediately provided.
