Saudi air defences intercept missile, multiple drones

Saudi Arabia reported that it detected two ballistic missiles launched toward Riyadh Province, the country’s Ministry of Defence said.

“One was intercepted and the other fell in an uninhabited area,” the ministry said in a post on social media platform X.

In a separate update, the ministry added that air defence forces intercepted and destroyed a drone in the Northern Borders Province. Several additional drones were also intercepted and neutralized in the Eastern Province.
