Saudi Arabia adopts Turkish military know-how

07 February 2024 14:06

According to SAMI CEO Walid Abukhaled, 300 workers from Saudi Arabia will be trained in Türkiye to produce the Bayraktar Akıncı attack UAV, Caliber.Az reports citing SavunmaSanayiST.com's message on X.

BAYKAR owns all intellectual property of UAVs. Saudi Arabia will only gain expertise through local production.

The export of Bayraktar Akıncı UAVs to Saudi Arabia will bring about $4 billion in export revenues to the Turkish defence and aerospace industry. Several Turkish defence companies, such as ASELSAN and Roketsan, have been able to export their products thanks to the path opened up by BAYKAR.
