Saudi Arabia intercepts 18 drones, multiple ballistic missiles

Saudi Arabia’s air defence systems have intercepted and destroyed 18 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over the past few hours, the Kingdom’s Ministry of Defence announced.

In a statement posted on X, the ministry confirmed that all of the drones were successfully neutralised before reaching their targets, Caliber.Az reports.

Earlier, Saudi forces also shot down seven ballistic missiles launched toward the country from the east. Although the missiles were intercepted and destroyed, debris fell near energy facilities. Authorities are currently assessing the extent of any damage.

No casualties have been reported so far.
