Saudi Arabia issues air raid alert near base hosting US forces

Saudi Arabia activated missile alert sirens early on June 8 in the Al Kharj governorate, an area that is home to Prince Sultan Air Base, which hosts U.S. military personnel, foreign media reports.

Saudi state media reported the alert but did not provide details about the nature of the threat or any potential incoming attack.

Several hours later, the Saudi Civil Defence announced that the danger had passed and issued an all-clear. State television reported the update, though authorities did not disclose further information regarding the cause of the alert.
