Saudi Arabia to host $10 billion Trump luxury developments
Saudi developer Dar Global will launch two Trump-branded luxury projects in Riyadh and Jeddah with a combined value of $10 billion, the company’s CEO, Ziad El Chaar, has said.
In Riyadh’s Diriyah district, the developments will include the Trump National Golf Course and the Trump International Hotel, part of a major project on the western edge of the Saudi capital, Chaar told British media.
In Jeddah, plans have been unveiled for a mixed-use development called Trump Plaza, which will feature offices and residential properties.
Chaar said the projects aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 strategy, which aims to diversify the economy away from oil and attract foreign investment. From this month, foreigners will be permitted to own property in designated areas of the kingdom.
The developments mark the latest collaboration between the Trump Organisation and Dar Global, the international arm of Saudi developer Dar Al Arkan.
Eric Trump, U.S. President Donald Trump’s son and executive vice president of the Trump Organisation, said the projects were expected to be completed over the next four to five years.
