Saudi Arabia unlocks easier Umrah travel with new visa initiative

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced the introduction of a multiple-entry visa for pilgrims wishing to perform Umrah.

The visa will remain valid for one year from the date of issuance. Holders will be able to visit the Kingdom multiple times and stay for a combined total of up to 90 days during the validity period, subject to certain conditions, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.

For each trip, pilgrims will be required to purchase a service package from an approved provider through the online Nusuk platform. The platform will also be used to obtain the necessary travel permits.

The ministry noted that the multiple-entry Umrah visa will be suspended during the annual Hajj season.

According to officials, the new visa is intended to give pilgrims greater flexibility in planning their journeys while expanding access to digital services. The initiative forms part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 reform programme.
