Saudi-US leadership confer at White House on partnership and regional developments
Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Defence, Khalid bin Salman, held high-level talks at the White House with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth, and US special envoy Steven Witkoff, focusing on regional developments and efforts to advance peace in the Middle East.
According to Caliber.Az, citing a post on the Saudi minister’s official account on the social media platform X, the meeting also addressed the further development of the Saudi-US strategic partnership.

The discussions covered the latest events across the region and coordinated approaches aimed at promoting stability and peace.
The talks were attended as well by Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Caine, underscoring the security dimension of the dialogue.
The meeting took place amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran, alongside reports about possible US military strikes against the Islamic Republic, giving the discussions particular urgency.
