Scholz, Macron schedule to meet on January 22

Deputy Spokesperson of the Federal Government of Germany Wolfgang Büchner has said that Chancellor Olaf Scholz will hold talks with French President Emmanuel Macron in Berlin.

According to him, the meeting will take place on January 22, TASS reports.

"The preparations for the extraordinary EU summit on February 1 in Brussels will be in the focus of attention. This also includes topics such as the situation in Ukraine and the Middle East," Büchner shared.

He added that no press conference is scheduled following the talks.
