Scholz: Ukraine cannot attack Russian territory with Western weapons
Western countries have implemented a rule that Ukraine cannot attack Russian territory with weapons supplied by them, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has said.
In early March, Adviser to the head Ukrainian President’s office Mikhail Podolyak said that Ukrainian troops were not attacking Russian territory and that the number of internal attacks by unidentified aircraft on infrastructure facilities was increasing in the country. In turn, the Kremlin has said it does not believe such claims, German-based NTV writes.
Scholz noted that Berlin decides on the supply of weapons to Kyiv only in agreement with the allies. In his opinion, assistance to Ukraine is necessary, but at the same time, it should not lead to escalation and participation in the NATO conflict.
