Israeli Army strikes Syrian General Staff Complex near damascus

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has announced that it struck the Syrian General Staff complex in the Damascus area. 

"IDF continues to monitor developments and actions against the Druze civilian population in southern Syria," the IDF's press service said on Telegram, Caliber.Az reports.

"In accordance with instructions from the political leadership, a strike was carried out in the area. The IDF is prepared for various scenarios," the press service said. 

This action follows a pattern of Israeli military interventions in Syria, driven by concerns over regional security and the protection of the Druze minority, with whom Israel shares historical and communal ties due to its own Druze population of approximately 150,000.
