Second person dies in Israel after Iranian ballistic missile strike

Israel’s emergency response authorities have confirmed the death of a second person following an Iranian ballistic missile attack on March 9.

The missile, reportedly armed with cluster munitions, struck multiple locations just south of Tel Aviv, CNN reports.

One victim was pronounced dead at a construction site in Yehud, while another, who had been critically injured and hospitalised, later succumbed to his injuries, the ZAKA emergency response service said in a statement.

The latest fatalities bring the total number of people killed in Israel by Iranian missile strikes to twelve.
