Second wave of Uzbek humanitarian aid reaches Iran
Uzbekistan has dispatched a second shipment of humanitarian aid to Iran, arriving two months after an earlier delivery of food assistance.
The new convoy, consisting of 15 trucks loaded with pharmaceutical and medical supplies, has reached Iran, Caliber.Az reports, citing Uzbek media.
The second humanitarian convoy crossed the land border checkpoint “Dargaz” as part of a broader solidarity program. The entire shipment is expected to be handed over to the Iranian Red Crescent Society for distribution among those in need.
Earlier, in March, Uzbekistan had already sent a first major consignment of humanitarian aid to Iran, which included essential food items such as flour, rice, sugar, pasta, vegetable oil, and canned goods, along with medicines.
