Seoul confirms oil tanker transit through Strait of Hormuz

South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun said on Wednesday, May 20, that a South Korean crude oil vessel was transiting the Strait of Hormuz in coordination with Iranian authorities.

Speaking during a parliamentary hearing in Seoul, the foreign minister confirmed the vessel’s passage but did not disclose further details regarding the ship, its cargo, or the nature of the coordination.
