Seoul, Rabat advance plans for comprehensive economic partnership talks
South Korea and Morocco have agreed to closely cooperate toward the early launch of negotiations for a bilateral Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), Seoul’s trade ministry said.
Trade Minister Yeo Han-koo and Omar Hejira, Morocco’s Secretary of State to the Minister of Industry and Trade, held a virtual meeting to discuss ways to broaden economic cooperation and initiate CEPA negotiations, Caliber.Az reports via South Korean media.
Both sides agreed to begin CEPA talks in the near future, viewing the agreement as a key driver for strengthening bilateral economic ties.
Yeo noted that a South Korea–Morocco CEPA would support Korean companies in diversifying their business operations and expanding their trade presence.
