Serbia continues evacuation of citizens from Middle East conflict zone

Serbia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with national carrier Air Serbia, has continued evacuating citizens from conflict-affected areas in the Middle East, the ministry announced.

On March 10, two flights were dispatched to Saudi Arabia and successfully returned from Riyadh to Belgrade. The operations were coordinated by Deputy Foreign Minister Damjan Jović and Secretary General Dušan Kozarev.

A total of 289 passengers, including 18 children, were safely transported on board the flights, which landed without incident at Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla Airport.

The ministry emphasized that these evacuations are part of ongoing efforts to ensure the safe return of Serbian citizens from volatile regions.
