Serbian president rejects signing any pro-LGBT laws
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has said that the country develops traditional values and he will not approve any regulations in support of the LGBT community while he is in office.
"In Serbia, as long as I am president, I will not sign a single law or anything else where it will be possible to have a third gender other than male and female, or something that is now called genderfluid, when one day you feel like a woman and the next day you feel like a man. This will not happen in Serbia," TASS quotes Vucic as saying on TV Pink.
"I asked her [the country’s Prime Minister Ana Brnabic] that as long as I am president, I would not want to sign anything about same-sex marriage and so on," the Serbian leader said.
"When EU representatives attack us because of such decisions - super, attack me, but don't blame Ana Brnabic, who is in favour of this. I am the person who did not allow her to do that."
"I believe that we are a traditional society. I am not hindered by members of the LGBT community But all the things we have just talked about while I am president are impossible," Vucic concluded.
