Serbs favour Trump for pragmatic politics, peace focus, says president

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has told Breitbart in an interview that Serbs appreciate US President Donald Trump for his conservative positions and focus on peace.

The president emphasised that Trump raises important issues and approaches them from a conservative perspective, while also advocating pragmatism and rationality, “insisting on the economy.”

He added that Serbs have always had a positive view of the United States and “the beautiful story of the American dream.”

“President Trump is a very pragmatic, very rational person, that he always insists on economy, on volume up, on improving trade turnover — which were all great news for Serbian people, and then I wanted to say, even today, after a year or more than a year, Donald Trump is much more popular than any of let me say the possible opponents in the future to his team, to the MAGA team, because people here believe that Trump is the best choice for them,” Vučić stressed.

The Serbian leader also pointed to Trump’s concern for Christian values and his pursuit of peace. In his words, the White House chief is not afraid to speak loudly, openly, and publicly about family values.
