Seven killed, 13 wounded in shooting in western Afghanistan

Seven people were killed and 13 others injured when unidentified gunmen opened fire on civilians in western Afghanistan’s Herat province, the Interior Ministry said.
Interior Ministry spokesperson Abdul Mateen Qani said that after midday on April 10, unidentified gunmen on motorcycles attacked a group of civilians who had gathered for recreation near a picnic area in Qabarzon village, in the Injil district of Herat province, Caliber.Az reports per foreign media.
According to Qani, initial reports indicate that seven people were killed and 13 others wounded in the attack. Some of the injured are reported to be in critical condition.
Authorities have not yet identified the attackers, and an investigation is underway.
