Seven killed in car rollover crash in China’s Yunnan province
A total of seven people have died, and 12 others have been injured in a road traffic accident in southwest China’s Yunnan province.
The crash occurred on April 30 in Yuanyang County when a vehicle carrying 19 people overturned, Caliber.Az reports, citing Chinese media.
Police said the number of passengers was within the vehicle’s permitted capacity.
Two people were found dead at the scene. Seventeen injured passengers were taken to the hospital, but five of them later died despite receiving medical treatment. The remaining victims are still undergoing treatment.
Following the incident, police, firefighters, rescue teams, and medical personnel were dispatched to the site, and a rescue operation was launched.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident and reviewing the response of emergency services.
