Seven wounded, dozens of settlements targeted in Russian attacks on Zaporizhzhia
Seven people were injured after Russian forces launched hundreds of strikes across Ukraine’s southeastern Zaporizhzhia region on February 21, according to regional authorities.
A total of 679 strikes targeted 36 settlements across the region, including the city of Zaporizhzhia and surrounding districts, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, Ivan Fedorov, said, Caliber.Az reports.
The attacks included 23 air strikes, 364 drone assaults — most of them first-person-view (FPV) unmanned aerial vehicles — three multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) strikes, and 289 artillery shellings, regional officials said.
Authorities recorded 142 reports of damage to residential buildings, vehicles and infrastructure facilities. The full extent of the destruction is still being assessed.
