20 April 2026 10:42
On April 18, more than 20 ships passed through the Strait of Hormuz, marking the highest daily figure since the start of the war in Iran, Al Jazeera reports, citing maritime analytics firm Kpler.
Among the vessels that successfully transited the strait on April 18, five had recently loaded Iranian cargoes consisting of metals and various petroleum products.
The group included three tankers carrying liquefied natural gas (LNG), two of which were en route to China and India, according to available data.
The remaining ships were transporting goods from Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.
