Shooting in North Carolina leaves three dead, eight injured

A shooting incident in Southport, North Carolina, has left three people dead and eight others injured, according to ABC News, citing city administration spokesperson ChyAnn Ketchum.

The shooting took place near the Southport Yacht Club. An unknown individual, reportedly on a boat, opened fire on the outdoor bar at the American Fish Company before fleeing the scene.

The motives behind the attack remain unclear.

On the evening of September 27, the city administration warned residents on its Facebook page about an "active shooter," urging them to avoid the area and stay home if possible.
