Sirens wail in northern Israel amid overnight cross-border attack
10 April 2026 09:23
Rocket fire from Lebanon triggered air-raid sirens across northern Israel overnight, while a separate missile targeting central areas was intercepted mid-air, amid escalating cross-border exchanges involving Hezbollah and rising regional tensions.
Sirens were activated in Kiryat Shmona and the Upper Galilee in the early hours following what Israeli authorities described as rocket fire from Lebanon, Caliber.Az reports via Israeli media.
At the same time, a separate missile launched towards central Israel was intercepted before impact, officials said.
The overnight incidents form part of a broader exchange of fire in the region, with Israel attributing the attacks to Hezbollah-linked activity in Lebanon.
