Six injured by falling shrapnel after drone interception in Abu Dhabi

Six foreign nationals were injured by falling shrapnel after drones were intercepted over Abu Dhabi, according to the city’s media office.

Authorities said the incident occurred at two locations in the ICAD 2 industrial area of the UAE capital. The injuries were caused by debris that fell after the drones were successfully intercepted, Reuters reports.

The victims — nationals of Pakistan and Nepal — sustained minor to moderate injuries, officials said.
