Six killed in fire at massage salon in central China

A fire at a foot massage salon in Lingbao left six people dead and five others rescued, according to Chinese media.

The blaze broke out at around 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, prompting an immediate response from emergency services after the local emergency centre received reports of the incident.

Rescue teams were dispatched to the scene, where six individuals were pulled from the building but later died despite receiving emergency medical assistance. Five other people were successfully rescued and are not in life-threatening condition.

Officials said the site showed heavy signs of smoke and fire damage.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
