The broadcaster reports that the meeting of the E3 leaders could result in the announcement of a new military aid package for Ukraine.

The visit comes amid reports of an improved situation for Ukraine on the battlefield. According to the Institute for the Study of War, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have managed to recapture some previously lost territory in recent months.

Sky News also reports that the meeting is intended to send a signal to both Moscow and Washington that Europe is determined to play a key role in efforts to resolve the conflict.
