Skydiving accident in Poland’s Leszno leaves one cead
A 39-year-old man has died following a commercial skydiving accident in Leszno.
The incident occurred during a jump from a Cessna aircraft carrying six skydivers, who exited at an altitude of approximately 4,000 metres. Preliminary information indicates that the victim’s parachute deployed, but he struck the ground heavily upon landing, Caliber.Az reports per Polish media.
Emergency services, including an air ambulance helicopter, were dispatched to the scene. Despite resuscitation efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the site.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the accident. The prosecutor’s office is examining the case, while the State Commission for the Investigation of Aviation Accidents has also been notified and will assess the causes of the incident.
