Slovak PM rejects claims of Trump’s alleged “dangerous psychological state”
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico dismissed as false a Politico report claiming that, after meeting with US President Donald Trump, he told European leaders that the American president was in a “dangerous psychological state.”
Fico wrote on Facebook that this paints a troubling picture of the liberal and progressive political and media world, Caliber.Az reports.
“I firmly reject the lies of the hateful, pro-Brussels liberal portal Politico. This is a sad reflection on the liberal and progressive political and media world. The abuse of criminal law to eliminate opponents, the rejection of differing opinions, and boundless media lies—attempts to assassinate political leaders in Slovakia and the US included,” he stated.
Fico noted that less than 24 hours later, he had to firmly reject POLITICO’s false claims regarding his assessment of the meeting with US President D. Trump at the informal summit in Brussels, stressing that no one had heard or seen anything and there were no witnesses—yet the portal still published falsehoods.
Earlier, POLITICO reported that Fico had expressed concern over Trump’s psychological state to European leaders following their January 17 meeting at Mar-a-Lago in Florida.
