Slovenia joins G7 declaration on security guarantees for Ukraine
Slovenia has joined the declaration of the G7 states on supporting security guarantees for Ukraine.
"I am grateful to the Government of Slovenia and personally Prime Minister Robert Golob for joining the declaration of the G7 regarding security guarantees for Ukraine," the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote, RBC-Ukraine reports.
The president noted that Ukraine and Slovenia have common values of freedom and democracy, as well as the desire for peace and justice for the entire Euro-Atlantic community.
We shall remind you that during the NATO summit, the leaders of the G7 countries agreed on a declaration on security guarantees for Ukraine. It implies long-term support in the security and economic spheres.
Zelenskyy said that the new security guarantees stipulated in the declaration would be expanded as a result of bilateral agreements with partners. Any state can join the support of Ukraine.
More than 25 countries have already supported the declaration on security guarantees for Ukraine.
