Slovenian FM Tanja Fajon visits Kyiv to bolster regional solidarity with Ukraine
Slovenian Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon is visiting Ukraine, according to a statement from Slovenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The visit comes at the invitation of Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Andriy Sybiha, Caliber.Az reports referencing foreign media.
During her time in Kyiv, Fajon will participate in the ministerial meeting titled “Ukraine-Southeast Europe,” where discussions will centre on support for Ukraine.
This visit underscores Slovenia’s ongoing commitment to fostering regional cooperation and solidarity with Ukraine amidst its ongoing challenges.
It is worth noting that Kyiv has welcomed several high-ranking officials over the past few days. These include UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, German and Italian Defence Ministers Boris Pistorius and Guido Crosetto, as well as the Foreign Ministers of Estonia and the Netherlands, Margus Tsahkna and Kaspar Veldkamp.
During his visit, Starmer announced the provision of military assistance to Ukraine and signed a historic agreement with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy establishing a 100-year partnership.
