Small plane crash in Croatia kills four
A small aircraft crashed in Croatia, killing at least four people, local police said.
The crash occurred near Medulin, a town on the Istria Peninsula in western Croatia, authorities said in a statement, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.
Croatia’s media reported that the aircraft was a German-registered plane that had taken off from Austria before the accident.
Images from the scene showed wreckage scattered across a field, with police officers and firefighters deployed to the crash site as emergency services responded to the incident.
Local pilot Nijaz Delic described the aircraft’s final moments, saying the plane “spiralled (in the air) and crashed into the ground.”
Authorities have not yet confirmed how many people were on board the aircraft at the time of the crash. No additional details regarding the victims or the cause of the accident were immediately available.
