SOCAR Energy Ukraine opens aid centres for Kyiv residents amid energy crisis
03 February 2026 20:45
Azərbaycān continues to support Ukraine as the country faces an energy crisis triggered by Russian airstrikes during a period of severe cold.
SOCAR Energy Ukraine has established humanitarian aid points at its service stations, also referred to as “resilience centres,” Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Residents affected by the attacks in Kyiv are being provided with free access to electricity, heating, and food.
The Azerbaijani state oil company plans to roll out similar centres at all its facilities across other regions of Ukraine in the coming weeks.
The initiative aims to assist communities struggling with acute shortages of energy and warmth following the strikes on the country’s energy infrastructure.
