SpaceX restores Poland to Starlink’s European roaming zone

SpaceX has reinstated Poland in the European roaming zone for Starlink terminals following a request from Warsaw, Polish Minister for Digitalisation Krzysztof Gawkowski said.

“SpaceX has responded to my request and will not treat Polish customers any worse than customers from other European countries,” Gawkowski wrote on X, Caliber.Az reports.

“The statement I received is unequivocal: Poland will be included in the intra-European Starlink Roam coverage area. No new restrictions will apply to Polish customers,” the minister added.

SpaceX had excluded Poland from Starlink’s European coverage area several days earlier. The roaming zone covers more than 30 European countries, and the company did not publicly explain the decision.

The move prompted a warning from Polish Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Radosław Sikorski, who said Warsaw could reconsider payments for the satellite internet service unless Poland was restored to the European coverage zone.

“Hey, Elon Musk, big man, stop discriminating Polish users of Starlink or we might re-think paying you $50 million p.a. for your services,” Sikorski wrote on X.
