Spain reports first death from hepatitis of unknown origin

Two persons have died of hepatitis of unknown origin in Spain.

It is clarified that the dead are a six-year-old boy and a 15-month-old baby, Gazeta.ru reports with reference to Europa Press.

A total of 46 cases of hepatitis have been registered in the country.

Three patients have already undergone liver transplants: two of them are children, as well as a three-year-old girl.

She managed to survive as a result of an organ transplant.

About 1,000 cases of infection with hepatitis of unknown origin were detected in the world as of the end of July.
