Spain to deliver Patriot PAC-2 missiles to Ukraine
The Spanish government will transfer five Patriot PAC-2 missiles to Ukraine for use within its air defence systems, according to El País.
The transfer was announced during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s visit to Spain on March 18, 2026. The missiles are part of the arsenal of a Spanish Army air defence regiment stationed at a Marine Corps base in Valencia.
Despite the limited number of missiles, Madrid emphasised its continued commitment to supporting Ukraine. In particular, in December 2025, Spain allocated $1.7 billion to purchase four Patriot batteries under a contract with the US company Raytheon (RTX).
This is not the first such delivery: in May 2024, Spain had already supplied Ukraine with Patriot missiles as part of military aid.
