Spanish F-18 fighter jet crashes in Teruel Pilot feared dead

An F-18 fighter jet belonging to the Spanish Air Force crashed in the province of Teruel, located in the autonomous community of Aragon.

The Air Force confirmed the incident, stating that rescue teams have been deployed to search for the pilot, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.

A statement from the military via their Telegram channel says: “An F-18 fighter jet from the 12th Wing crashed near Teruel. Rescue assets have been activated, and we are currently engaged in the search for the pilot.”

However, Spanish newspaper EL Periódico has reported that the pilot is believed to have been killed in the crash. Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
